9th -13th Dec 2024
Fueled by substantial enhancements to existing infrastructure and the establishment of new radio telescopes in recent years, the landscape of low frequency radio science is undergoing a profound expansion. Remarkable strides are being made across various domains, including high redshift 21-cm cosmology encompassing cosmic dawn and the epoch of reionization, as well as advancements in pulsar and transient science, and the elucidation of planetary and exoplanetary magnetospheres. Moreover, significant strides are being taken in radio sky surveys, space weather, and solar physics. The Science at Low Frequencies (SALF) conference serves as a platform for astronomers to exchange and deliberate on scientific findings, methodologies, and technological advancements. It also serves as a forum to strategize and chart a collaborative course towards future projects and infrastructural developments.
SALF X will be a hybrid conference, with the in-person component hosted at Courtyard by Marriott Shanghai Xuijiahui Hotel (Address: 100 Hongqiao Road, 上海西藏大厦万怡酒店,上海徐汇区虹桥路100号), Shanghai, China.

Travel Advice
To travel from Shanghai Pudong International Airport to the Courtyard By Marriott Shanghai Xujiahui, you have several transportation options:
- Taxi: Taxis are readily available at the airport. Follow the signs to the taxi stand, and you can easily get a cab to your hotel. It is better to have the hotel’s address in Chinese (e.g.上海西藏大厦万怡酒店,上海徐汇区虹桥路100号) ready to show the taxi driver. It will cost about 200 Chinese yuan and take about one hour from the airport to the hotel.
- Metro: The metro system in Shanghai is extensive and efficient. There’s a metro station at Pudong International Airport, and you can take Line 2 (green line) toward East Xujing. You would need to transfer to Line 9 (light blue line) at Century Avenue station, then continue on Line 9 to Xujiahui station and exit at gate 11. From there, the Courtyard by Marriott hotel is within 10 mins walking distance.
